For more than 40 years, the SMB Group has been involved in the management and implementation of national and international industrial projects in the sectors of industrial plant engineering, energy, mobility andPureSystems. With company locations in Austria (Graz, Wolfsberg, Villach, Vienna, Langkampfen and Kundl), Germany (Penzberg and Wertach), Slovakia (Košice) and Hungary (Budapest), the SMB Group is able to offer a maximum of customer proximity and service possibilities. To handle our projects the SMB Group has a production space available in Austria. In addition to these production facilities, the SMB Group has a special clean room production facility in Budapest.
Our services for the automotive sector serve both OEMs directly and the entire supplier industry chain. Complete assembly lines with conveyor technology, steel construction and media connections are partially supplied or just assembled for our clients. For extensive projects that are to be commissioned as a general contractor at the client's request, we draw on the strengths of our partners for services that are not directly in the SMB service portfolio.
An essential service area of the SMB Group is the installation of energy generation plants and energy distribution. These are mainly industrial refrigeration plants and combined heat and power plants. The services of these energy generation plants are exclusively in the megawatt range. Both refrigeration plants and combined heat and power plants can be designed, supplied and then installed by SMB.
SMB carries out planning, delivery and assembly of Pure Systems to meet the highest purity requirements as well as subsequent service and maintenance work. This work is mainly done for production plants in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries as well as for the semiconductor industry. Such projects require special knowledge in the design and installation of pipelines. The associated GMP-compliant documentation and qualification of the production facilities is an essential part of the realisation of such projects.
With its services for pipeline construction, production and assembly of steel structures, machine assembly and relocation, the operative divisions of the SMB Group are active throughout Europe. The focus is exclusively on manufacturing industrial companies, including the paper, steel, building materials or food industries. In order to expand the value chain of SMB and to minimise the interfaces in the project for the client, strategic measures are constantly taken to ensure competitiveness.
